This event was developed to meet the needs of members who cannot always attend our regular weekend comps.   The Sports Fishing Challenge runs monthly and any members are invited to try to catch the biggest nominated target fish during the stated period to win a monthly prize.    The event also has a second component,   members can submit photos of any other fish species caught during the challenge month  which will be judged at club's general meetings  for a "Members Choice Award."

The fish caught during the month of the Sports Fishing Challenge  are to be taken from Moreton Bay with-in boundaries laid down  by the RBAFC - The RBAFC encourages  catch and release of the fish caught during this event.
